SABRINA SHUTTERS

Sabrina Shutters is a reporter and fill-in anchor at WRIC 8News in Richmond, Virginia.

​

Previously, she was a weekend anchor and producer for WBTW News13 Saturday and Sunday Morning and a reporter for WBTW News13’s evening newscasts for three days a week in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

 

In Richmond, she's turned several stories for the "Taking Action" segment, investigating and holding city leaders accountable, at times getting results and money back to people who may have been scammed. She's sat with family and friends of victims of violence in the city, telling stories of their tragic losses, asking city leaders how they plan to stop the violence that hits home for many. Sabrina also covered former President Obama's appearance in Richmond during the 2021 Virginia governor's race.

Sabrina covered multiple shootings, Hurricane Dorian, Hurricane Isaias, and the George Floyd protests in the Myrtle Beach television market.

She's motivated, excited and always ready for new experiences within the television industry. Sabrina is well-versed in reporting, anchoring, producing, shooting, editing, writing, social media and documentary film-making.
